Teams to Watch

Each week or as long as I can remember to do it, I will post some teams that have a big chance to make some moves based on the games they have during the upcoming week.

To start things off, we look no further than the ACC.  The ACC is loaded this year which makes it easy for a team to get a resume boosting win at any point.  The first team we'll take a look at is Miami Fl.  Miami has some bad losses against them, with the home loss to Eastern Kentucky really sticking out.  That being said, they have two marque chances to get a huge win.  In a year where a good chunk of teams on the bubble don't really have that win Miami can boost their chances this week against Duke and Notre Dame.  The fact that both are on the road makes it tough, but if they can get a win or even two, they have a chance to play their way into the tournament.

Alabama also has a huge chance to get into the bracket.  They currently sit as my 2nd team out.  This week, they head to South Carolina before hosting Kentucky.  If they can get past an improved South Carolina team, they have a chance to deal Kentucky their first loss.  While I think the Kentucky struggles are overblown, it still is a huge chance for Alabama to work themselves into the dance.

Lastly, we'll look at a team solidly in the field right now and that is Butler.  Butler can move up a lot this week.  They play two road games in the Big East, where road game wins have been tough to come by.  They play Seton Hall and Georgetown.  Both would add to the really nice resume Butler is putting together.  They have 3 solid wins currently and these two would be huge.  Hats off to ex-interim head coach Chris Holtman.  He has done a solid job coaching this team so far this year.
